After the Disaster

I am amazed at the resilience of the Japanese people. I talked with someone who interfaces with search and rescue teams from the U.S. on a regular basis. He was saying that when the rescuers that went to Japan returned, they couldn’t stop talking about how incredible the Japanese people were. They were also involved in the New Orleans hurricane effort and compared to that, they said that Japan makes U.S. look like they need additional training in harmonious relationships and teamwork. This isn’t surprising, since we heard on the news how much looting and violence was occurring in New Orleans during that time.

Is anyone from another country besides Japan finding it still possible to live there even though the nuclear situation is not good? The news here in U.S. has portrayed the situation as very serious and a health nightmare. I would be interested in hearing other peoples thoughts though.
