Motivation

Working for someone else has its advantages and disadvantages. For instance, one advantage may be job security and a mostly guaranteed paycheck every pay period. The downside is that there is plenty of politics involved. The company I work for now does logistics analysis and acquisitions. It is common to see people trying to inch their way to the top by stepping on the little guy, or more realistically smothering them. Yesterday was one of those days that seriously motivated me on my way to getting a job in Japan.
The person I interfaced with at work was undercutting all ideas that anyone was throwing out during a brainstorm meeting. I thought the idea of brainstorming was to create new ideas and fresh ways of looking at the issue or problem. Instead, the authoritarian dominating the room wanted his ideas viewed as written in stone. It is this type of experience that drives my ambition to get out and experience these problems in Japan rather than the U.S.
I know these problems exist there in Japan, but I would rather deal with them there than here in the states. It’s the classic battle that most office workers deal with when they work for someone else. That leads me to my next thought. What about working as an entrepreneur in Japan? I have found some resources on it but is it feasible? I understand that most businesses there are founded as a K.K.
